Nightshift Worker Sees the Light with $100,000 Scratcher Win
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Nightshift worker Leroy K. is the first $100,000 top prize winner for the 50X the Cash scratcher released on February 5, 2025. The local man purchased his winning ticket at Eye Street Cellars, 425 I Street, NW. The husband and father of three is a new homeowner and plans to put his winnings toward his home.
This facilities supervisor at George Washington University previously won $500 playing DC 3 and said he often plays DC Lottery games suggested by friends and coworkers. The team approach certainly seems to work—Leroy matched six winning numbers on his 50X the Cash match-style scratcher ticket.
50X the Cash was introduced to players less than 30 days ago with $1.7 million in total prizes as part of February’s First Wednesday scratchers’ launch. First Wednesday celebrates the launch of new scratchers, new prizes, and new chances to win. 50X the Cash and more DC Scratchers are available at all DC Lottery retail locations.
