$1,000,000 POWERBALL Ticket Sold in Washington D.C.!
Winning ticket sold at Tenley Market for the Powerball drawing on March 26; winner has yet to claim their prize.
WASHINGTON, D.C.— One winning POWERBALL ticket valued at $1,000,000 was sold in the District of Columbia for the drawing held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The winning ticket was sold at Tenley Market, 4326 Wisconsin Avenue, NW.
Lucky Park, owner of Tenley Market and her entire staff were excited to hear the news that the $1 million winning Powerball ticket for the drawing held on Wednesday, was purchased at their store. The longtime DC Lottery retailer has been a staple in the northwest neighborhood for decades. Park proudly shared that this is not the store’s first million-dollar win. Tenley Market was also the place of purchase for a $1 million winning DC Black II scratcher in 2014, and a $25,000 A Year for Life prize with the Lucky for Life national jackpot game in 2016.
The winning numbers for the March 26 game were 5-20-29-39-53, and the Powerball was 6. The winning ticket matched the five winning numbers; it did not match the Powerball number.
This $1 million ticket is the DC Lottery’s highest POWERBALL this month. In addition, the DC Lottery had a $2 million POWERBALL winner in 2024, two $1 million POWERBALL winners in 2021, and the record for the highest POWERBALL payout in D.C. was set with a $144 million jackpot in 2009.
Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. To learn more about how to validate and claim, click HERE.
